  1. Loneliness can easily become magnified larger than it really is. I too do many things alone. But I have learned the difference between doing things alone and being lonely.

  2. Shallon, I’m 22 and I’ve been watching your videos since I was 16! (Had never been kissed and Googled “16 and never been kissed” and found one of your videos 😂🙏) (p.s. had my first kiss at 19) ANYWAYS. I’m moving to LA in a couple months and definitely scared about not meeting people who genuinely want to connect and have meaningful friendships. BUT I know they have to exist in LA, even if there are not many. So this video helped me a lot. Thanks for all the great advice!! I’ll for sure have to make it a goal to talk to one new person or hang out with one new person every week!

  3. Does anybody else feel like the video chatting/ web hangouts leave you feeling lonelier? It reminds me of that black mirror episode where everyone does their jobs together during the day then go back to their own pods and communicate over the internet at night. I feel more isolated after the call than I did before hand

  4. I’m getting anxious to move to a new city now. Time to reinvent myself. Leave the bad and ugly behind and take only what I want to keep in my life. Very good tips Shallon. Even just hearing you breaking it down just makes it so much more easier. Like you said you only need one or two things on your calendar to make you feel more content.

  5. Hi Shallon thanks for all your great Videos, I LOVE your channel and it is perfect for relaxing to after work!!! Someone requested a Henry cavill and Chris Evans video in a comment below and I responded this : < I really found Henry cavill to be gross every since he said that he liked how his much younger girlfriend Tara King was "she protects me and is protective of me when I am having a hard time". "she's there for me when I need looking after and the World is a little to heavy" . "she'll happily take that weight for me and make sure I'm OK". To me, I just found out so so so icky because I just know the type of guys who want a woman to be both partner and also their mother. And nothing gives me the ick more than that. And something tells me Henry is just like that. And it's even more icky because she was 19 and he was 33. Research shows that your brain reaches maturity around the age of mid 20s. So the fact that he liked her motherly behaviour towards him in that situation is even more icky and unnatural to me. Gross gross gross!!! > ….. Could you please do a video on guys that feel entitled that women act like their mother (I see this everywhere not just spouses. Eg at work, friendships etc). I see that some women feel they have to act like a mother to some men who are colleagues, friends or partners, in order to have a place in their lives. This whole dynamic gives me such an ick, so majorly!!!! Would love to discuss it more. Thanks!!!!

  6. Delighted for and inspired by you . I'm going for that year abroad now. Thanks for sharing your story. Hope I meet someone as authentic and entertaining as Shallon when I get there. Love this girl. Xo

  7. how do you get food ? lol So are you ever moving back to the city? Its so hard to get out there and make friends…your bold that's great

  8. Everyone supposedly wants the connection but doesn’t want to put in the effort. I’ve reached out to girls and hung out with them once or twice, but never saw them again because they didn’t bother reaching out to me to make plans again 🤷🏼‍♀️ not saying this is always going to happen, but I’ve had this experience

  9. Moved from California to Chicago 10 years ago. I thrived and made so many connections. Loved it! Moved from Chicago to the Detroit area almost 2 years ago. It's been an adjustment professionally and socially. Finding my footing in Detroit is much slower than Chicago, but I always find a way to make it work.
